How Christian Got His Groove Back
The hot summer months have passed and the cool nights seem to fill my living room, I sat on the chaise drinking a cup of hot chocolate to warm me up when I began to think about what I’ve accomplished this year. I’ve purchased my first home, got my citizenship, quit smoking and my career is hotter than ever. I couldn’t be more pleased with my recent accomplishments.
It was than, that I began thinking about Peogles and felt a moment of sadness when I realize that it’s been a while since I posted. I seem to have this bad habit that when I try to do so many things at the same time, it’s just a matter of time before one or the other will suffer and not receive the same amount of attention as it has in the past. In this case, my blog has suffered.
I began thinking about my broken promises to my readers, more importantly the ones that have supported me. I began thinking about the whole intention of the blog, and the purpose it was suppose to serve. What was I doing? I thought to myself. Have I given up on my idea? Has the spirit of entrepreneurship faded? Was I going to be the perfect examples why a high percentage of blogs fail? These were questions that began to spin through my head.
I thought about how and why I let this happened. We all know that bloggin is time consuing, especially if you are going for original content with relevance. I know I was swamped during the summer months with home renovations, and yes my career is far more important than my blog as it is my only source of income. But why did I stop? I’m sure that my readers would have understood even if I posted something cheesy like…
“I’m busy working on my floors, ripping the yucky blue carpet was worse than laying down laminate floors. BTW Home Depot customer service sucks…’
I was supposed to log my progress on home renovations. I was also supposed to blog about my journey to quit smoking. What ever did happen to that? It was than that I realize that I lost my groove. I was so busy and occupied that I’ve put blogging on hold, it was only supposed to be a few days, which than turned into weeks and followed by months. It was too long of putting it on hold that I lost my groove to post again.
So how did Christian get his groove back? I visited old friends and surf the blogspehre for inspiration.
First and foremost, Urban Thought – Seeing your blog flourished these last couple of months ignited a flame inside of me that I once thought was out. Lucky
Someone’s destiny is under a statue
Where time and place is life and death
A hero gives respect to their work line
And asks why I am here
And why there are birds in November
The statue would speak if it could
Its message is a deep peaceful sleep
So this must be all a dream
And you’re an angel
Who being careful upon me
Would ask for nothing but a difference
Between moving and staying still
A kiss to the third eye
As if the shape wasn’t enough
Like I needed us to live one dream
The thought is this
Do not bleed, do not even speak
Because it sucks
Just teach us like you always have
And let the river flow
Until the shape is my shape
To heal and feel and deal with
Because my hero was inspired by you
You must be so original
You could construct a bird from a feather
Even if birds were lost to us
November doesn’t suck
And you must tell me why
Must there be another cool thing
For us to lie under and seek under
And thunder with
My figure would marry above with below
That message would be gray
And it would not deserve a statue
But I am here and so are you
In some way we are science fiction
I want everybody to know about us
This is so scary
Madison Square Garden Experience: Rangers vs. Flyers
The yearly Ad:Tech show in New York was earlier this week and as usual the purpose of the trip was business. Thankfully this year, we were able to sneak a few hours to experience New York City at its best. New York is well known for its tall buildings, fashion district, great night life and of course passion for their sports team.
My colleague accompanied me this time around. He is one of the biggest hockey fans I know, for me not so much, I’m more of the Basket Ball type of guy. The New York Rangers had a scheduled game that Monday night against the Philadelphia Flyers which of course was sold out. However, this did not stop him from purchasing tickets through a ticket broker paying twice as much as what they normally were going for, he ended up dragging me along.
At first I wasn’t excited to go, I was tired from the long day of non stop meetings, haven’t had dinner yet and I wasn’t in the mood to watch an NHL game live, because quiet frankly I don’t even watch it on TV. But once we arrived at the arena and made our way through the crowded fans outside the building, I began to feel a sense of excitement and thought to myself. ‘This was actually a big deal. I’ve never seen an NHL game live before and better than that I was watching the New York Rangers play at Madison Square Garden. Whoa!’
Once we got to the 17,000 seat arena to locate our seats (BTW, they were awesome seats) my excitement grew, I was in awe of the arena, as if I’ve never seen one before. Maybe it was the energy and vibe that the New Yorkers were oozing out into the air. Whatever it was, I knew at that time that I would enjoy the night.
We sat there, watching the players practice before the game started, talking about what a great experience this was, drinking our beers, eating hot dogs and having a good time.
It was a full house and the crowd cheered when the opening ceremony began. The roar of the fans was even louder as soon as the first period began. Within seconds of it, you heard the crowd chant ‘Let’s go Rangers, let’s go’ you just felt their passion, their support, dedication and we couldn’t help but join in.
The Rangers ended up Winning against the Flyers 2 – 0. It was my first NHL game and the experience itself gave me a different outlook on the sport of Hockey. It’s an experience I will never forget and I’m glad that my colleague dragged me out. I had a great time.
Train Drives Through Bangkok Market
A train drives through at a local market in Bangkok Thailand. It’s a daily routine for the people in the Market. Watch how they go through their day as if nothing happened. Business as usual!
A Risky Toilet Commercial
Check this awesome Ad from CWS (Complete Washroom Solutions), it features the future of public toilets. The Ad is very risky and will never be broadcast in North America… It’s pretty hilarious and sends out a good message to all you sniffers out there. Don’t Do Drugs….on a toilet seat…. Haha
What’s Your Classic Movie Profile?
I was surfing the blogging community and landed on Brown Baron’s blog, titled ‘Brown Thoughts’ His post on ‘What’s Your Classic Movie Profile?’ caught my eye. I found this interesting because he says and I quote in Bobby’s own words…
“This test is what they use to profile FBI agents before they are accepted as trainees. I think they also test presidential candidates this way too.”
As you can see, I had to take the test and find out what my classic movie profile was. Here it is…

LOL… I’ve never even seen or heard of this movie, but now I’m curious to watch it.
To piggy back off Brown Baron’s post, if you take the classic movie profile test, be sure to leave a comment and let me know what you got. It’s kind of fun.
