10 reasons why you should get tested for HIV/AIDS
HIV and AIDS are on the rise. You hear and read more about it in the news and various media. However, I know more people, who have not been tested, than those who have. In the last few years, there has been more reports of Hetero’s being diagnose with HIV and AIDS, among those are women, but the general public still think it’s a dieses of the gays and lesbians.
Here are the estimates of the Global HIV and AIDS cases for 2006. More statistics can be found on www.avert.org.
If those numbers are still not convincing enough to get tested, than maybe my ‘top ten reasons why you should get tested’, will change your mind.
10. A needle was used on you by either yourself or an acquaintance that does not have a medical license.
9. If you are sexually active or had at least more than one partner in your lifetime.
8. If you practice safe sex. It should be noted that condom use cannot provide absolute protection against HIV.
7. You’ve had a few one night stands, woke up the next morning and don’t remember the person beside you.

Get tested. Know your status.
Napping Does The Heart Good!
American and Greek researchers found that an afternoon nap may reduce fatal heart diseases. It was a six year research and their findings were unbelievable. Those who took naps of at least 3 times per week, for a minimum of 30 minutes had a 37% lower risk of dying from heart diseases. The findings were even higher among employed men versus unemployed men. Saying that afternoon naps helps reduce some of the stress that employed men often get from work.
I tried to convince my boss that this just proves that we need to buy a hammock for the office. Unfortunately he still didn’t buy it.
