Halloween Logo - Google Style, Not its Best!
I always look forward to Google’s logo during the holidays and special events. They are always creative and often fun. However this year’s Halloween logo in my opinion is not all that great.
Although the theme was appropriate for Halloween, with a haunted house feeling and the letters of the logo sporting the ghostly effect. I found the look and feel of it to be dull and somewhat boring.
This logo might of worked back in 2002, but this is 2007. What’s up with that? I also didn’t get the same feeling of fun like it has been in the past. Maybe Google’s creative theme is lacking some creativity.

Is Valentines Day Way Over-Marketed?
Yay. (Sarcasm) It’s that day again in February, Cupid’s busiest day.
The only day other than Christmas where all we see is the color red, where for some magical reason flowers and chocolates cost twice as much than the day before.
You know that day, where you are asked by every single one of your friends what you got your significant other, where the couples have a romantic evening and the next day hate each-other.
You know that day, where the single people either stay at home watching ‘You’ve Got Mail’ or party like it was the 70’s and have sex with multiple partners.
I don’t understand this day, the purpose of it. What’s it for? Was it all for St. Valentine? A man who existed in the middle ages as a professional date doctor?
You may think that this post is bitter or a cry out for some love. Well its not. I’m simply expressing my opinion. I feel for those who are forced to spend cash just to impress and show their love for one another. I feel for those who feel love on this day and heartbreak the rest of the year.
I find this holiday to be way over-marketed. All those professional card writers need to get a real job and stop telling people how to best express their love by cards, chocolates, roses or diamonds. Why does this day have so much emphasis on love than any other day? Why can’t we express love the same way every day?
